Vietnam International Fashion Week 2016 was an amazing spectacle of colors, textures, stunning celebrities and dramatic outfits. Held for the first time in Hanoi, I had the pleasure of attending of their shows (also my first time in Hanoi!) and walking the red carpet pre-show.
On the final day, iHateFashion dressed me in their the Fall/Winter 2016 that was fresh off the runway the day before. The brilliant color of my outfit and beret with military styled embroidery patches drew much attention from on-lookers and the press alike.
Aside from the Vietnamese designers, other international designers on the runway included Singapore’s very own couture designer Fredrick Lee and his team (above) whom I hung out with after the shows, Philippine designer Francis Libiran, Malaysian Joe Chia and Boys of Bangkok among others.
OCHE, a brand from Vietnam, focused on ripped denim in their latest Fall/Winter 2016 collection, while Canifa’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection of clean silhouettes stunned everyone in the audience by painting the hall white with fake snow. Everything from their runway is exactly what I want in my wardrobe for the winter countries. Layering on point!
