Valentine’s Day, this year was a special affair for H and I. Aside from it being our first Valentine’s as a married couple, we went back to the place that we first watched the spectacular sunset together in Manila almost 4 years ago: SM by the Bay. It is hard to forget a sunset that painted the sky flaming orange, deep blue and pastel pink.
Our relationship status may have changed, but the sunsets at SM by the Bay sure haven’t. I have been going to SM Mall of Asia since my first trip to Manila, there is always so much to see and shop! However, it was only recently that I discovered the wide array of food options, entertainment and fun park rides at SM by the Bay!
SM by the Bay is a 1.5km entertainment complex that is fun for everyone. Whether it is your first date with someone special, or a gathering with your barkada, there is always a reason to celebrate at SM by the Bay with its plethora of choices. You will certainly find something that pleases everyone!
Going back to our date night, we ate till our hearts’ content at the Four Seasons Hot Pot City buffet. Check out the spread!
Naturally veering towards the dessert section first. Haha.
Then, with our hearts and tummies full, we celebrated Valentine’s Day under a sky full of bright lights.
The opening of the 7th Philippines International Pyromusical Competition (PIPC) also started that weekend before Valentine Sunday and will continue till March 19. The first two competitors in the lineup that we watched were Philippines and Portugal. Both were outstanding in their own right, and it was a sight to behold as the Manila Bay lit up with a multitude of colors and dazzling shapes.
Love is in the air.. Literally.
After the Pyromusical competition, we ended up roaming around the vast complex… And eating again! Haha. The great thing about SM by the Bay is the fact that it opens till 1am, so you can satisfy any late night cravings. The complex operates from 6am – 2am and the restaurants are open from 11am – 1 am. SM by the Bay is also open daily including Christmas and New Year’s!
In fact, this coming Saturday there are two other countries competing in the PIPC, so fill your tummies with any of the choice restaurants at SM by the Bay and watch the display of fireworks light up the sky. See you there!
